15,180 visitors discover the future of Packaging

IoT technology, 3D printing, sustainable packaging were at the center of discussions for three days. Where? At GLOBAL PACK, the place where the whole world of packaging met.

15,180 visitors, 562 international buyers and hundreds of exhibitors experienced an exciting three days of innovation, inspiration, networking and information at the 1st GLOBAL PACK, the new premium exhibition for Packaging. The industry’s leading companies presented to entrepreneurs from the Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic, Industrial, Construction, Agricultural sectors, technological solutions and services related to packaging machinery, packaging materials, printing and labels. For three days, the exhibitors’ stands highlighted innovations, specialized packaging solutions, global trends in the field of sustainable packaging and digital tools for the digital transformation of the packaging line for immediate productivity improvement, cost reduction and production increase.

GLOBAL PACK & FOODTECH: A co-organization with significant commercial benefits

The parallel organization of GLOBAL PACK with FOODTECH highlighted important synergies and had multiple commercial benefits both for exhibitors and visitors. Exhibitors at Global Pack had the opportunity to engage with an even larger target audience in the food and beverage industry and present specialized and suitable packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry. On the other hand, the visitors, alongside GLOBAL PACK, visited FOODTECH to see up close products and services, that cover the whole range of the production process, from the production of safe food, processing, storage to distribution.

Dynamic presence of international buyers

Global Pack attracted 562 important buyers from abroad, whom during the three days of the exhibition, held a significant number of meetings with the exhibitors, discussed the needs of their business, started new partnerships and found new suppliers. It is worth noting that some of then visited the exhibition through the Hosted Buyer program and held a significant number of b2b meetings with the exhibitors. Thus, the hosted buyers program offered an outlet for the extroversion of businesses and opened important new trade routes for exhibitors. The hosted buyers came from target markets all over the world such as: Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, S. Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Lebanon, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Poland.

Global Packaging Stage: Packaging developments in the spotlight

The GLOBAL Packaging Stage was held with great success, for three days, where industry experts and market executives analyzed the most current issues that concern the packaging industry. Leading speakers, experts, executives from the food, beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, building & industrial materials sectors, professionals in the packaging sectors, but also members of institutional bodies, shared on stage their know-how, the technological developments and the progress of the sector in Greece. Topics such as international packaging trends and perspectives for Greece, developments in packaging printing, and modern technologies for the digital transformation of the packaging line were analyzed.
